More people want Liberal Democrat Charles Kennedy as Prime Minster than Howard

An ICM poll for the News of the World this Sunday found more people want Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy as Prime Minister than Michael Howard. Since the question was asked in 2001 Charles Kennedy is up up 6%, with the Tory leader down 5%.

ICM asked the question "Putting aside you own party preferences, which of the following politicians do you think would be the best Prime Minister?". 16% of people backed Charles Kennedy, with 15% of people backing Michael Howard.
