Lib Dem success on council house repairs

12.00.00am GMT Fri 9th Dec 2005

During the recent elections, Lib Dem Tony Sutton was concerned by the standards of repair work carried out by Nottingham City Homes.

Following his election, Councillor Sutton wrote to the Chief Executive of Nottingham City Homes to propose that a system should be introduced for residents to sign a form following housing repairs to say that they are satisfied with the standard of the work carried out.

The Director of Technical Services, who is responsible for repairs, has replied to say that he agrees with residents signing off on repairs. He also promises to take the scheme forward. The Lib Dem FOCUS Team welcomes this positive response.
