25 Years of FOCUS in Nottingham!

25 years ago the first FOCUS newsletters went out in Nottingham.

FOCUS in Nottingham started in Robin Hood Ward with about 5,000 houses. It now goes out regularly to tens of thousands of houses across Nottingham - and will soon be expanding further.

The first FOCUS leaflet was printed on an old duplicator and was not always easy to read. Early issues included school closure, housing problems, pavements, litter, street lighting and children's play areas. Some of these issues have returned time and time again.

Over the years many individual problems have been sorted but the Council clearly haven't solved the underlying problem as they keep coming up again, and again, and again.

Councillor Gary Long said "I have been involved with the FOCUS Team for over 20 years, but some people have been at it even longer! As councillors, in whatever ward, we could not deliver the FOCUS month in and month out without our local deliverers - some for well over 20 years. I would like to thank all the deliverers very much".
